On the 29th of April, The Ministry for the Environment released a proposal to transform the way we recycle in New Zealand. It is reported that New Zealand only recycles 1/3 of the waste that is placed in council bin pickups and inorganic waste collections. Resulting in around 76% of material being send to landfill.
